![]() I also found some great ideas through CAA Travel. Remember, finally, that prices are in US$ (just that thought brings tears to my eyes). ![]() It is also so easy to pick up that $100 backpack or $60 pooh toy (US dollars) that it becomes a challenge NOT to have a huge credit card bill at the end of your trip. Food is EXPENSIVE and Disney does not allow sharing one plan among family members (even though the portions are enormous). Hotels outside the Parks are good, but there is something convenient about taking a shuttle (or monorail) from a Disney Hotel straight in. Undercover Tourist is mentioned regularly for the obvious financial benefits for park tickets, but a vacation to a Disney Park must also include flights, hotel/motel (both in-Park and outside), meal plans (no outside food allowed in), car rentals (if staying outside the Park or going to Universal Studios)., paraphernalia (stuff ain't cheap there) and that darn exchange rate.ĭriving to Buffalo, then flying in to Orlando is the best bet for those in the GTA (use the equivalent strategy for Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary, etc.). Mousesavers has a monthly newsletter with all sales, prices, and opportunities to save at specific times. I use but there are so many others available. I'm not certain, but OP most likely picked up the Disneyland price increase from a website that focuses on Disney Parks. The mindset is all wrong, as RFD provides a short-term opportunity for those looking for opportunities, while hunting for a vacation at Disney Parks requires long-term strategizing, pain-staking attempts to read the signals coming from the Mouse House, and access to multiple resources on the Internet, through a travel agency and your advice from friends/family. RFD is the last place to look for deals at Disney Parks. Two of the main attraction rides (Radiator Springs & Rise of the Resistance) kept breaking down as I heard they have issues with drawing too much power. Rides are much more up to date and the rides are less likely to shut down. I will say that if you were debating between Disneyland or DisneyWorld, go to DisneyWorld Florida (which I visited in 2019). Parking is also $30/day per vehicle so keep that in mind. Park hopper isn't really necessary unless you are on limited time constraints. It's worth the time saved not waiting in line and accomplishing all the rides on one day. I would recommend Genie+ (was $20/per person per day) if you're only going to one park per day (and don't plan on splitting up parks on separate days to get everything done). Keep in mind you have to reserve which park you will be attending ahead of time so check for early closing/special events on that specific day.
